Supporting Transnational Families

Every Singaporean family deserves to feel secure, no matter their background. The Inclusive Fund (TIF) exists to bridge the gap for transnational households, where foreign family members may find it hard to access mainstream support.

We believe in protecting the future of our children and championing social justice. Whether you need help with medical care, education, or navigating immigration hurdles, we are here to provide a safety net, ensuring you never have to face these challenges alone.

Facing These Challenges? We Can Help.

Launched in 2021, TIF provides interim support to lower-income or vulnerable transnational families who fall through the gaps of formal assistance. Common areas of need include:

  • Education: School fees are too expensive for foreign children.

  • Medical: Doctor and hospital costs are very high, so family members cannot access essential care.

  • Immigration: ICA issues make it hard for families to stay together, care for children, and maintain stable work.

  • Employment: Upskilling courses are expensive for foreign spouses, which limits job opportunities.

  • Legal: Navigating divorce and family law matters in Singapore.

  • Social: Isolation and language barriers.

Am I Eligible?

You will be assessed based on the following:

  • Household Composition: You must have at least one Singapore Citizen in your household.

  • Target Group: Our support is primarily dedicated to the foreign family members within the home.

  • Case Guidance: You must be actively working with a caseworker (FSC, SSA, or Family Coach). Please note that TIF does not provide direct case management; instead, we work alongside your existing support network.

  • Financial Need: As a "last resort" fund, TIF is available to families who have exhausted other avenues of assistance and are motivated to achieve long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

How to Apply?

Our process is designed to be supportive and holistic.

  • Referral: Ask your social worker to email your application to theinclusivefund@sccfsc.org.sg.

  • Review: We respond within 3 days and may connect you with partners like Pro Bono SG or Mount Alvernia Hospital.

  • Panel: Shortlisted cases are reviewed bi-monthly (last Wednesday of the following months: January, March, May, July, September, November).

  • Support: Approved funds are typically disbursed within the following month.

"Words cannot describe how much I appreciate the help I received. TIF significantly eased my daily burdens and gave me the foundation I needed to start over. They supported me through my LTVP application, which finally allowed me to return to work and access medical care. I am so thankful, especially to the team, who constantly checked on me, reminded me not to give up, and was always there to support me."

"I am so thankful to TIF for helping my children become Singapore citizens. They supported us through the MSF adoption process and even covered the expenses. A special thank you to Ms. Kanak for her wonderful support—we are so glad to have had her help!"

Mr L

I'll know [my grandchildren] must be sad when they see their community friends go to school, and they cannot explain why they are not. Farid* is now telling me he wants to become a police officer, while Syaiqa* wants to be a doctor. I am proud of them and thankful for the help [The Inclusive Fund] provided to help them start achieving their dreams.
